Coalition Life Sidewalk Counselor SoJourner Wade-Clark Sine Shares Her Story

“I’ve been involved with Coalition Life a year and three months. I was looking for a part-time job—I was a stay-at-home mom for a while—you know, just to support the family. And, by the grace of God, I was on this specific [job search] website, that I feel like the Holy Spirit drew me to...”

“I found Coalition on that website, and I was like, ‘This can’t be real... this is so cool!’ They’re a Christian [organization], and they’re standing up for the unborn. I did not know they were doing that here…”

“[The best moments have been] getting to know my team, and then, of course, the turnarounds. Us being able to plant seeds in the women... whether they sadly choose to go in, or not, we have planted a seed.”

“A lot of times we do have really great conversations with these women, and with the fathers, but they still decide to go in. Sometimes we get discouraged. It’s like what we say didn’t matter, but truthfully, it did. It touched them in some kind of way.”

“We can’t make them choose life, even though we’re standing out here for hours and talking to them for hours. It is still great to know that we were able to communicate with them and tell them, ‘Hey, there are people who love you and care for you. We are out here willing to help. You don’t have to do this.’”

“There was a conversation I had with this young lady and her sister... she was about 19, and her sister was driving her in. The young lady seemed like she was interested in our information, but because her big sister wasn’t interested, she quickly became closed off.”

“And so, I talked to the sister and I was there for at least 45 minutes trying to talk to her... she [presented] points to me like ‘It’s none of my business, your business, about what she does with her body.”

“I had to break away from the script and, you know, just try to connect with her personally.”

“[The sister] said, ‘[It would be better] if everybody just left everybody alone.’”

“I was like, ‘Then there would be no community.’ And this is why we’re here, to be in our community and to make sure people know it’s okay to talk to people, it’s okay to be friends, it’s okay to connect.”

“We’re trying to give [women] information and present other options, because a lot of women do not know that resources are available.”

“Abortion clinics don’t like [women] talking to us... they know what we’re saying is true, but of course they want to lie... death is their business, so we’re stealing business from them.”

“Hold on and endure. Jesus gave us a command. He wants us to fight... we’re supposed to be on the front lines fighting. He’s equipped us with everything we need to fight. I know it’s scary, hard, frustrating... but when we continue to do what the Lord has called us to do, when we stand up, there will be change.”

“Whether we see it in our lifetime, there is going to be change because we are doing what we are supposed to do.”
