On Monday, September 9, 2024, Thomas More Society attorneys will appear before the Nebraska Supreme Court for oral argument in State of Nebraska ex rel. LaGreca v. Evnen, an original action before the state’s high court challenging the constitutionality of the “Protect the Right to Abortion” ballot initiative.

In their challenge to the state’s abortion expansion ballot initiative, Thomas More Society attorneys argue that ballot initiative contains “remarkably misleading terms” and is “unconstitutionally riddled with separate subjects,” in violation of the Nebraska Constitution’s Single Subject Rule. Following oral argument, attorneys and relator Carolyn LaGreca will be available for media interviews and comment.
