The September 2019 issue of Legatus Magazine, a publication discipling Catholic business leaders to be “Ambassadors for Christ in the Marketplace,” features an article by attorney and member of the Thomas More Society’s Board of Directors, Edward A. Morse.

Morse’s column, titled “Pro-life legal effort banishing false abortion mantra,” addresses the abortion industry’s efforts to use the courts to leverage Roe v. Wade’s “fabricated” constitutional right to abortion. He points out how the abortion lobby has weaponized the justice system to undermine common sense state laws restricting abortion, “costing the lives of many unborn victims.”

And yet, Morse points out that…

• President Trump’s conservative judicial appointments have boosted efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade.
• Lila Rose, Abby Johnson, and other committed truth-tellers have publicly exposed the abortion industry’s crass commercialism, its harm to women and their children, and its covert abuse of racial minorities.
• Life advocates work quietly in pro-life pregnancy centers and serve as sidewalk counselors, offering prayers and assistance to mothers contemplating abortion.

Morse urges that: “Life is a gift from God that is worth protecting. Lives are being saved.”

He declares that abortion rights have not yet displaced the First Amendment rights of free speech, assembly, or religious expression. Morse assures that the business of abortion is under threat and that solid legal strategies are at hand to resist the wave of pro-abortion attacks in America’s courtrooms.
