Our Lady's Inn

Since 1982, Our Lady’s Inn has served as a life-affirming alternative to abortion for almost 7,000 women who have chosen life for their unborn babies. These families have been sheltered and supported in their efforts to live healthy and productive lives through education, employment, and secure stable housing. In 2012, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandated that all employers, regardless of their beliefs had to provide insurance coverage for contraception. Thomas More Society stepped in to offer legal advice to Our Lady's Inn.

Peggy Forrest, President and Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady's Inn, said: "Thomas More Society stepped in and contacted Our Lady’s Inn a week after [a] heinous ordinance was passed and offered Our Lady’s Inn free legal representation against the city of St. Louis. Special Counsels Sarah Pitlyk and Tim Belz handled the case, which lasted 16 months until Our Lady’s Inn and its co-plaintiffs prevailed in October 2018. The city was shocked they didn’t win. There was no appeal filed in the case, so pregnant women in St. Louis can rest assured that Our Lady’s Inn will be able to continue providing its invaluable services to the St. Louis community."
