Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo

The Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo is a congregation of women that has its General House in Rome and a missionary presence in 26 countries. The headquarters of Our Lady of Fatima Province is in Melrose Park, Illinois, where the sisters serve the needy and poor.

Sister Noemi Silva and the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo said: “We are grateful to the Thomas More Society for helping to protect our sisters and the families of our neighborhood. When a loud, garish strip club opened next to our backyard, the attorneys helped us fight the intrusion of a silent neighborhood, overdosed individuals and intoxication, was forced upon us and our neighborhood. Thanks to the Thomas More Society’s work, we can diminish our anxiety and live with less fear of criminal acts taking place just outside of our home and place of worship. Gone are the noisy music, neon lights, people overdosed, trash littering the area. They helped us put an end to the violence, drunk driving, and human trafficking that accompanies the prostitution industry. We are returning slowly to being a healthy and safe community.”
